Eh? Inside joke?

Two birds covered with bright blue feathers. Really. They were walking not flying. After we saw them, my friend, a photographer, dropped his pack and followed them, and I went to a high spot to look down over them. Unfortunately, after fifteen minutes, we were unable to find them again.

We also saw aliens and a chupacabra. (Joking about that part.)

Is anybody planning to hike 8 March?

Yes, sorry about that (see this topic for a little background). Zippetydude (or me for that matter) might be willing to pay big bucks for a picture of these birds! :)

Tina - I dream of having a bad hair day, but I dont have enough hair to make this come true :) Even a mildly bad day on the trail is better than a good day at work or a bad hair day. :) See you on the 8th.

Skyline this Saturday

Postby Cy Kaicener » Sat Mar 01, 2008 11:15 am

The only people on Skyline today before 9 am were casual hikers at the picnic tables. This should be good news for SAR unless they started after 9 am. I started at 5 am and went up 3000 ft. There were purple, white and yellow flowers everywhere but the cacti have not started to bloom yet.
Tina - we better start at 4.30 am next Saturday to beat the heat on the way down.
