Lake Como for a destination wedding —hiking recommendation

My partner and I have been talking about doing something completely different for our wedding — skip the local venue and go somewhere that actually means something to us as hikers and travelers. Lake Como kept coming up, so we started looking into it seriously.
Found Sumptuous Events who handle the whole planning side for destination weddings over there, which takes a lot of the stress out of organising something remotely.
The plan would be to arrive a few days early and get some hiking in around the lake before the event. Has anyone spent time in that area? Curious whether the trails are worth building a trip around or if it's more of a scenery-from-the-boat kind of place.
