You're hiking Skyline too often when...

1) You complete the Strawberry loop to San Jacinto peak from the tram and start looking for other hikers to share a cab back to the museum.

2) You refer to the "Three Bears" as the "Three Stooges." (I call the 3 distinct climbs from Fuller junction to Little Round Valley the "Three Bears," whereas Sally, Marilyn and I are the "Three Stooges").

3) Your legs don't remember how to go downhill.

4) You can't remember who you hiked with on your last Skyline.

5) The folks at Las Casuelas think you live in the Coachella Valley.

Please feel free to extend the list

Hi Ellen!

6) You see four sets of recent boot tracks, and they're all yours.

("Is I heah, or whah IS I? Now dat’s what I wants to know.” ) literary reference--not movie this time. ;-/

Stay frosty, my dear!

7) you get to Rescue Box 2 and you know you are exactly 20 minutes away from Florian's Cache and potato chips.
8) upon your arrival at the turn-style to the loading area to take the tram down they automatically ask if you need them to call a taxi.

Interesting, if you type the number "8" and put a ")" next to it you get a smiley face with sunglasses! That's a new one for me.

9) The tram bartender hands you your favorite beer even before you sit down.
10) You're on a first name basis with all the tram operators.
11) You're on a first name basis with all the cab drivers in greater palm springs.
12) You hike Skyline more often than you get together with your family

13. when "taking the day off" means you're NOT doing Skyline that day...
14. when your regular shopping list reads: "Fritos, Cliff Bars, Root Beer Barrels, and Caffeine Pills"...

Hi Sally, sorry to have missed you too! But will be back soon, and I promise to give Ellen the heads up sooner this time. Looking forward to hiking Skyline with you then. Great forum here, it helps me as I go through San Jacinto withdrawal....withdrawal may in fact be another sign that you're hiking Skyline too often...
