Howdy All
Miracle Marilyn and I headed up about 6:30 AM. We were sweating buckets, then got nailed by direct sunlight until we passed Rescue One at 2.5 K. By the 5 K ridge, the ambient temperature was nice and we had a breeze. Took a short break at St. Florian's point. Rime ice started in earnest at Flat Rock. We didn't encounter actual snow until about 7 K. Donned micros and long sleeved Smart Wool tops when we reached the beginning of the traverse. I added down mittens due to my cold-sensitive hands. The views of the clouds over the snowy San Gorgonio range were spectacular. There were lots of snow flocked trees and rime ice covered brush on the way to Grubbs Notch. I got some interesting looks when I arrived at the tram about 12:30 wearing shorts, long sleeved and down mittens

Joined many friends for a celebratory beverage before refueling at Las Casuelas and heading home.
More snow forecasted -- bring it on
Miles of smiles,
Ellen
