Marion Mtn. Trail vs. Humber Park to San Jacinto

General Palm Springs area.

Well, seriously, re: gnats on Marion Mountain--several (four) years ago, I did MM four times in a period of five months, and every time, the first thousand feet, I was inundated with gnats. I concluded that it was an ongoing problem with an otherwise lovely trail, and haven't been back. From what others are saying, it must have been a temporary infestation that cleared itself up.

Thanks, Jim! I saw the Fuller Ridge road posts, so it sounds like my original choice is back in the mix. Looks like I can't go wrong with whatever I choose. I'm doing Gorgonio via Vivian tomorrow and plan to finally get to San Jacinto a week or so later. Thanks, again for the help!

Ok, so they flock to some of us, but not others? :?

Well, at least I know I"m not wholly alone in my gnattractiveness. Atari, you are now my insect-pest brethren. :)
