This past weekend I hiked with my mother and her boyfriend up the South Ridge Trail to Tahquitz Peak, I was going to go for the Devils Slide Trail, but she preferred the South Ridge Trail for her knees. It was a great day, a little windy and nippy towards the top, but warm by the time we got back to the trail head. I did notice about 15 cars and what sounded like quite a party of teenagers near the rocks by the trailhead, but no problems.
