Does anyone know about the fire damage in this area? has it been devastated? are trails open from Humber Park? maybe going up when it gets a little warmer. :shock:

Humber Park is open to SJ peak and to Tahquitz peak. Skunk Cabbage, Tahquitz Valley, Laws, Caramba remain closed.

Florian is correct. However the trail to Tahquitz Valley is now open. The loop from Saddle Junction to Tahquitz Valley and Tahquitz Peak is open.

The weather has been perfect for hiking lately. Chilly at night, but probably not freezing unless you get up above 9K.

Are there any permitted camping areas that are open above Saddle Junction, specifically between the junction and Tahquitz Peak? Desert View??

You can camp in the area between Saddle Junction and Tahquitz Peak. Chinquapin Flat. Around Tahquitz Creek and Little Tahquitz Valley. I don't think the Desert View area is open. Need a overnight wilderness permit. Probably some fresh snow up there this weekend.
