Skyline trail

Anthony
I just went up Skyline trail from Palm Springs Museum on Saturday and spent the night at Round Valley then hit summit today. Bring micro spikes and warm gear because there are a lot of people that are way unprepared. There is snow and ice on trail above 7500ft. Water is also essential of course and if you backpack you will know how much to carry. It's hot in lower elevations so bring plenty. You can refill at Tram if you run out. It was windy at summit today but at Tram was relatively calm. Have fun and be safe

Howdy Anthony :)

I agree with J-Red regarding the snow/ice on the traverse. We passed a group of three who were having trouble. I was grateful for my poles and microspikes.

Miles of smiles,

How about tomorrow Sun 23rd. Was anyone up more recently? I am planning on going up tomorrow and have no spikes.
