Time for a new topic heading?

About half of the San Jacinto/Santa Rosa threads are about the Skyline/C2C trail. Do you think it's time to add a new topic header just for that so we don't have to wade through the constant weather update requests to get to something interesting?

Just a thought.

How about a sticky thread where only certain members can post regular updates on trail conditions?

I don't like change, and I like it just the way it is! (I guess that makes me an old fuddy-duddy)

I know things have been a little slow, but I will try to do my share and spice it up a little with more hiking and trip reports after my daughter's wedding this weekend.

The thread titles don't make it clear enough which ones to skip?

With that logic, why have any different topic? What I was thinking is that Skyline deserves its own category because most new posts are about it and probably over half of the SJSR posts are about it.

How bout Hal gets his own heading: Bump & Grind Rocks for me!
And Steve, you get: Canyoneering down the North Face!

Hal would want automatic updates any time there's a new Bump n' Grind post... :)

But seriously, I feel the same way sometimes. I'm tired of Skyline posts even though I used to be passionate about it in the past. These days I like to learn about obscure areas where I've never been before. As far as creating a new forum section devoted to Skyline/C2C/tram-to-peak, at the moment it seems easy to skim through the thread titles. I think if the forum gets busier in the future or if more members request it, then it would make sense to have a new section.

Regarding Bump n' Grind, there are a few members who do not like BnG and occasionally express general negative opinions about it. I hope that BnG hikers feel welcome on this message board. At the same time, I can see other reasons why there are few BnG topics here.
