After doing my first FULL C2C on January 11th with a co-worker, we are hooked and ready to do this thing again. Of course things appear they are going to be a little different this time around, thanks to mother nature.

I have been looking at the Long Valley webcam daily, and noticed some white stuff, but it appears it melted quite a bit today. I am also aware of the current forecast, which appears to have a weak system coming through tomorrow into Friday -- but looks like no more than a few inches of snow. I have never hiked on a single track trail in solid snow or ice cover, so the obvious concern is for safety -- especially at the traverse. I just called my local REI and held 2 pairs of Kahtoola microspikes for my buddy and I -- which I will grab tomorrow.

Can any of you regulars let me know if I should be good to go with these and my trekking poles? And if anyone happens up during this week, please keep me posted on the trail conditions!

youll be fine with the microspikes and poles, id be suprised if there will even be anyting in the way of snow to worry about other than the last hundred feet or so, as far as the skyline section goes. toward the peak there'll be a little more.
