I would like to thank all who put forth suggestions to the post "experienced trail guide wanted". Your suggestions enabled us to hire Scott. We could not have been in better, more capable hands. He guided 2 first timers of the C2C trail without a hitch (1 of which(me) was my first trail hike of any kind). His suggestions on supplies and gear made our hike more enjoyable. I would not hesitate to hire Scott again for another venture into the wilderness of beautiful Southern California.

Hi Sally. We started at the museum at 4:15am. I think we reached the tram sometime around mid afternoon. We refilled our water and proceeded to the peak. We returned after having a bite to eat and snapping few pictures in time to catch the 7:20 tram back down. It was a great day and something I will always remember fondly.

Im going to try to go up deer springs to (i think) little round valley on saturday. Is it clear or snow still prevalent? Would like to know. Thanks

i may not have the right gear.

There's up to a foot of snow in the shade above 10,000' based on the reports of others that I've seen.

Thanks jim, i only have merrills mid- tops soft hiking shoes...... not very insulated or water proof. Ill go up next weekend instead.
