Anyone know when Black Mountain Road will open?

I mountain biked the whole road last weekend, which is much more fun when the cars are prohibited. Without worrying about oncoming traffic the downhill can get a little crazy if you don't have good judgment (which I don't). Almost ended up in Riverside by a surprisingly direct route.

Thinkin' about driving up and replenishing some caches this next weekend. Anyone know if they're going to open it now? No snow, puddles, ruts, or erosion the entire way. No real reason to keep it closed.

Typically doesn't open until around Memorial Day. Know there's been little snow but if they open early and get a late storm it wouldn't be pretty. You could call the Ranger Station in Idyllwild if you want an official answer.
