For those unfamiliar with the term (which I'm sure HH8 knows), "umbrella stroller" refers to the lightweight collapsible stroller with curved handles similar to handles on most umbrellas.
to Zip: They sure do come in handy, not only because they are so compact and portable. They go "off-road/on trail" with greater ease and mobility than bulky, heavy strollers. Back at Los Alamos, ours got regular use at Bandelier and other areas, and facilitated many jaunts to kivas and cliff dwellings which of course the Adult version of the strollerkid now only vaguely recalls. ;-) But Dad remembers, fondly.
It held up very well, and was so inexpensive that replacing it would have been no worry. But it was much more durable than expected, too.
