Climbing Toro Peak in August - recommended first aid?

General Palm Springs area.

It really depends on where you are starting. You can drive to within a mile of the peak in which case you wouldn't really need anything. Starting from the highway would be around 16 miles. I believe the water at Santa Rosa Spring is a reliable water source.

A bit further toward Toro Peak is Virgin Spring, but it doesn't flow much, and had an oily sheen on the surface. Still, it's water...
