I went up the Marion Mountain trail on April 28 with Huy. We met a few hikers on the way up, and we blazed the snow covered areas since we were the only ones with gaitors. There still are areas along the slope traverses between the Deer Springs junction and Little Round Valley where we post-holed numerous times up to our knees and waist. We went straight up from Little Round Valley to the summit, coming out at the north west end of the summit. It was absolutely beautiful on the summit. It was incredibly warm and there wasn't any wind. We were able to bask in the sun and enjoy lunch before heading back down.
I know this is a long shot. I lost my Canon SX-110 camera somewhere up there. My wife gave it to me as a birthday gift in May of 2009. The case must have fallen off of the belt at some point. I don't ever expect to see it again, but if anyone finds it, I would greatly appreciate it if you would let me know. From now on I'll be wearing my shoulder harness set up when I bring a camera hiking or mountaineering.
