Skyline/C2C: Photos, Maps, & GPS Data Needed

On Saturday I called Steve to see if he wanted to do Bear Creek. He talked me into doing Skyline, so on Sunday I did it for the first time in over 2 years. It's changed a lot! Many of the photos on the old Cactus to Clouds Hiking Guide are no longer relevant to today, and with new shortcuts the route has changed as well. If anybody is interested in letting me use their photos, maps, and GPS data many of the new hikers would appreciate it, and I can provide credits. Please feel free to email or pm. If I receive numerous emails it may take a couple days for me to reply, and I won't be able to use every photo and map that is sent but appreciate any and all contributions to help make the hiking guide better.

It probably would be a good idea for one of you skyline super hikers to record a track that would be considered the recommended standard for any newbie skyline hike. This could be one that bypasses the shortcuts (and potential confusion or danger) and keeps erosion to a minimum.

Not everyone would use it but some would, its a start. There is sometimes understandable frustration on this board about behavior on the mountain. Well some people come here first to seek guidance....might it not be nice to have a "package" to give them, including a track?

Actually I did send a Garmin connect gpx link to Perry in a PM on 1/31/12. Let me know if that didn't work for some reason.

thanks again carl. i actually have never used a gps, but i can host or link to files and hopefully they work for other people....
