Hi, I'm planning my first trip to CA in mid-March and I would love to climb this mountain (from the tram to the top).
I have microspikes, I've thru-hiked the Appalachian Trail, but I have no experience hiking in the west or at elevations above 6000 feet. I'm wondering if a typical mid-march hike is possible with just boots and microspikes. I need to make the most of my time in CA so I'm trying to figure out if I should take a chance on this or head to see the sights along the coast.
