There's no downhill!!
I just got back from Tahoe and climbed Mount Tallac. Great hike if you're ever in the area. It's about ten miles with around 3500 ft. gain and loss. Took four hours RT. But on the hike down I kept thinking, "I hate this downhill crap", "Don't turn your ankle" and "I wish there were a Tram at the top".
In mountain climbing most accidents happen on the descent and I would imagine in hiking it's the same. And that's what's so great about the Skyline; it's uphill all the way.
I wish more hikes were like that.
