Hiking this weekend

Postby Morosi » Wed Jul 18, 2007 4:29 pm

Hi all, I'm relatively new to the board, have written once before in May right before setting out for our first Skyline Hike. My dad and I left at 4:30 am and got in right around 1:30pm... We were pretty happy with our first time. Going to do the tram to the peak on Sunday, starting to train for C2C, going to do it on Sept. 22nd. I really enjoy reading all your posts, very encouraging for a newbie hiker! Hope to see some of you out and about up top over the next couple of months and can't wait for C2C in September!

I posted into a new section instead of here.

Hi Morosi,
You should have plenty of company on your hike Sun, it's a great way to stay fit for Skyline & other tough hikes that have some altitude involved.
There's several locals that hike to San Jac peak Sat morning taking the 1st or 2nd car up, as I usually do, (but I go a route that you wouldn't want to do, at least right now, it's very steep).

Hope to meet you on the dusty trail sometime.
