Skyline Trail

Postby Steve Schumm » Sat Oct 22, 2011 5:12 pm

Hi everyone. I'm a newbie here and have little to no experience with forums. I want to hike the Skyline Trail. It will be my first time hiking this trail so I would like to go along with someone (or a group is fine as well) who has done it before and knows the way. If you would be willing to have me tag along please let me know. I can be contacted directly by e-mail (steveschummdds@msn.com) or through the forum if you prefer (I'm not certain how this works yet). Thanks for your consideration.

Just go on a Saturday. You'll have no lack of company.

Pretty funny Hal, not quite sending all those pissed-off Bump & Whine people over to Skyline!

Hi Steve, welcome to the forum. Hal's right in that if you show up around 4:00 or 5:00 one Saturday morning, you will see a bunch of people starting out. On the other hand, this is generally a friendly forum and it's not hard to find people who are fun to hike with. Check Kathryn's group:

http://www.meetup.com/Hiking-Coachella-Valley/

They do Skyline a bunch and also some other fun hikes right around here.

If you're a first timer, you'll want to take a leisurely pace so you can enjoy the trail and not burn yourself out before you're done.

Have fun, maybe I'll see you out there.
