Best backpacking camps in Tahquitz Valley

This forum has already been incredibly useful for someone who hasn't backpacked in this area before. . . so thanks. I am finalizing plans for a little loop backpacking trip next month, up Devil's Slide to Willow Creek and then Laws Camp and through Tahquitz Valley. We are trying to decide where to camp at night and whether to spend two nights in one spot, since the mileage is fairly low, or splitting up the two nights in two different spots. Where are the best backpacking camp spots? Laws Camp? Chinquapin Flat? Tahquitz Valley? Any advice appreciated.

There are tons of places to camp. I've camped at Laws before and thought it was nice although it's kind of popular with the Boy Scouts.

Caramba is worth a visit if you have the time. It's a pain in the butt to climb back out of there, but it's a lesser visited area and worth while. There's nice swimming below the lower water fall. If you stayed two nights at Laws, you could have a nice side trip down to Caramba for the day, leaving your heavy gear at Laws.

There are some big rocks on the PCT just north of Red Tahquitz where there would be some good sites and views of the desert.
