Slacklining

Postby Radam » Tue Jul 12, 2011 9:06 pm

Hey everyone just wanted to try to get a slacklining group going. If anyone is interested feel free to message me. And if you don't know what it is you can ask me that too! Or if you like YouTube check it out, and get back to me. It's a good way to improve your balance, and even get a little workout. I live in Idyllwild now, so it's a great area to go out and enjoy the outdoors!

Bwuahahaha that is funny! That guy's friends are cruel. I'd never set up the line that high for someone that is trying it for the first time lol. More like between that video, and this one.

Wow! I'm going right home and getting out my best tie down straps. I've tried it, but I was hard pressed to walk halfway across without getting that fatal wobble that sends people flying. This would be really fun to do up on the mountain where it's cool and there's lots of good trees to anchor on, especially if there were some people who could actually do some tricks!

I'm not too sure about those tiedown straps z... The ratchet for it may not hold well... There are some people nearby me with other legit slacklines besides myself, and from what I've been told, they can do tricks too.I am currently tryig to meet everyone who does. If you wanna learn I am up for going with anyone! And I am not good enough to flip, but I can do some minor things. Hit me up anytime and we can arrange a meetup, especially if you know anyone else that wants to go too! There are a few tricks to learn how to start, #1 balance on 1 foot at a time until you get rid of the wobbles... Also, point your foot in line with the line, no cross footing like you are skating or doing any board sports. Give that a try and let me know how it goes with your tiedowns! There are videos to show you how to set them up tight without a ratchet.
