Brushing the top part of Jo Pond May 7th. Wanna help?

The top couple thousand feet of Jo Pond is pretty overgrown.
A few of us are going to brush back as much as we can on Sat May 7th. We plan to start from the top and hike down, goal is something like the top 2000-2500 feet or so. Once done, we will hike back out, we plan to spend ~5-6 hours or so out there. If anyone is interested in helping, let me know!

I hope the brushing went well. I hiked Jo Pond from Cedar Springs down to Indian Canyon last year, and found the trail to be a sad brushy mess. Took a half hour just to find the continuation of the trail at Cedar Springs (which turned out to be about 200 horizontal feet uphill of the main camp area). Once found, the trail is reasonably easy to follow, but rather scratchy.

I just hate it when I see once well-built and engineered trails go to pieces due to lack of maintenance!

ps. don't tell the guard at the Indian Canyon gate that you are going to pick up a hiker coming down Jo Pond. My friend made that noob mistake, and what was the lady's response? Certainly not "what a great hike, hope your friends had a good time". No, she launched into a hissy fit about hikers sneaking into indian land without paying the entrance fee.

we got maybe 1/2 the brushing done. we initally started off wrong from cedar springs so had to backtrack alittle. that part was pretty overgrown. we cleared all that, but the middle of the trail is still very overgrown. it doesn't see much use it seems.

There's no bar at the top.
