Skyline #260 for Doreen :-)

Howdy All

It was an honor to be on the trail the same day (last Saturday) that Doreen completed Skyline number 260 Other regulars included Scott2, Doug, Robin, Indie Jack, Hengst Joe and me. It warmed up quickly once we left the museum and I could only hang with the greyhounds until the warning sign As Scott2 noted, most of the snow is gone off the traverse but there are still icy patches. The worst ice was on the final switchbacks coming up from Coffman's Crag. Thanks to Vince for shuttling us back to our cars.

Also headed out on Sunday with Karin I actually felt better on Sunday than on Saturday, probably due to the more sane pace

Don't know what conditions will be like on Skyline once the weather system comes in this weekend. We could get new snow over the icy patches on the traverse or freezing rain

She's a Hikin wonder!
She probably walked / ran down the tram Rd after that too.
She told me she felt very good, even in the trees where she sometimes has a tough spell, but don't we all.
It is an addicting climb, tough enough & beautiful enough to keep ya comin back fer more!

Unless you break your ankle and then have to stay in the San Jacinto (ahem) "Bed & Breakfast" for a couple of days until SAR comes and gets you. Then it's kind of a toss up, although perhaps some us might still opt for SJ over work.

Actually Jim it's not a toss up at all (at least for me). Work is WORSE.
