Autumn on Devil's Slide

On Wednesday I did Devil's Slide to San J Peak again. I was surprised at how colorful the trees were.

your pictures inspired me to hike Devil's Slide yesterday, despite the 3 hr RT drive. there was a time when I hiked it so frequently that I began to regard it as just a means to get to the saddle. but after many months of not being on it, hiking it yesterday was like revisiting an old friend. and it was just great... on many levels. thank you.

Hi lipbiter, I'm glad you got to take in the color before the leaves fall off! I just never get tired of Devil's Slide to San J Peak. It looks different almost every time I do it as it goes through its seasonal changes.
