You guys are awesome, great letters, these WILL make a difference, and the more pressure & public outcry, the greater chance we have of keeping these lands PUBLIC!

Thanks, your hikin bud

Extraordinarily well done, y'all. FWIW, my e-mail, (which isn't worthy of posting), wasn't responded to. Did you hear back from him, or was he hiding out with Jody somewhere?

I mailed a traditional letter to the BLM. I did not receive a reply or confirmation however i did receive an email from Jim Foote regarding the new deadline for comments date. (I had included my email address with my letter.) So i do know my letter was received and read and my email is now on the distribution list for updates.

Thank you for contacting me regarding the proposed land exchange between the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians in Palm Springs. I appreciate you taking the time to share your views.

As you know, the proposed land exchange would occur within the Santa Rosa and San Jacinto Mountains National Monument and is intended to improve the coordination and cooperation in the management of federal lands.

As the proud sponsor of the legislation establishing the Santa Rosa and San Jacinto Mountains National Monument, I am dedicated to working with local stakeholders to preserve these unique lands. After hearing from concerned constituents, I requested that the BLM extend the public comment period. Public participation is vital when making these decisions. I am pleased to announce that the comment period has been extended until November 19, 2010.

For more information about the land exchange, please visit the BLM's website at: www.blm.gov/ca. I encourage you to submit written comments to the BLM to ensure that your views are heard.

I value you taking the time to share your views on this important matter. It is important that the citizens of our district keep me apprised of their views so that I can better represent you in Washington. I appreciate your input and will keep your thoughts in mind during the 111th Congress.

Again, thank you for taking the time to contact me. For your convenience, you can sign up to receive regular email updates from me on issues important to the 45th District at http://www.house.gov/bono. Please continue to share your thoughts on other issues of mutual concern.

Sincerely,

MARY BONO MACK

Member of Congress

***PLEASE NOTE - DO NOT REPLY TO THIS EMAIL DIRECTLY, AS IT WAS SENT FROM AN UNATTENDED MAIL BOX. IF YOU HAVE ADDITIONAL COMMENTS, PLEASE ACCESS MY WEB SITE AT http://www.bono.house.gov. THANK YOU.
