LRV hammock?

Postby Go Diego Go » Thu Oct 14, 2010 4:22 pm

Can anyone tell me if there is enough tree coverage in the camp sites at Little Round Valley to use my hammock instead of a tent?

Thank you.

Yes, the trees should be big enough unless you're an uber-big person. It gets kinda chilly up at that elevation this time of year, so you might find it a little too cool sleeping off the ground in a hammock.

LRV is around 10,000'. It often gets windy there (at least in my experience). Dunno about a hammock this time of year. Do you have an underquilt? Might be a tad on the chilly side if you don't.
