Trail conditions ? (Tram to Peak & Back)

Just going in for a day hike with some buddies on Saturday. Taking Tram up to Long Valley, then hiking to Peak and Back and was wondering if anyone has been up in the last 7 days and seen any ice patches? We arent going commando, just day packs with a couple bottles of water.

It really hasn't been cold enough for ice to stay throughout the day. I was up in the SG Wilderness last week over 10,000' and there was no ice. Also, there's been no real precipitation for over a week. I don't think you'll be seeing any ice if you go soon.

Uh, what does "going commando" mean in this context? Usually "going commando" to a hiker means not wearing underwear.
