Howdy Sally and Kevin :)

Regarding a car shuttle for Deer Springs and Seven Pines -- excellent! I haven't been on either trail up to where they intersect Deer Springs, so am looking forward to seeing both trails.

Miles of smiles,
Ellen

Sally and others interested in plants by the trail- Check out these two web sites to get great information about plants along your trail.

Tom Chester is a great guy that you may run into some day on the trail-

tchester.org
go to :plants"
go to "trail guides"
go to "peninsular ranges"
go to "San Jacinto Mountains"
pick your trail
read "Introduction and explanation of plant trail guides"

Then, go to Calflora.org to get pictures

Enjoy the flora.

Thanks, Nick. I really didn't know.

Is Tom Chester keeping up his website? I haven't looked specifically at the flora section, but I've noted a lot of old dates and dead links on other parts of his website.

P.S. Ask me about trees, Sally, that's something I actually know a little about.

Thank you Nick. I thought it looked like some kind of berry blossum.
I'm going to have some fun with those web sites!
