Since the PCT cuts through all three of the (make that four if you count Cleveland National Forest) local mountain ranges and national forest I thought I would let eveyone know that National Geographic is doing a special on July 4th at 4 PM local on the PCT.

I've seen it. It has some great aerial photography (eye level at Forester Pass for example) and the narration is "extreme."

No one knows why they're showing it on July 4th when all good hikers are outdoors though.

TEVO if you have it - I thought the same thing, if you're not hiking more than likely you at a family or friends house celebrating - "Our Freedom From Tyranny" and the winning of the Revelution - subjects most hikers can relate to (like the DWA and Snow Creek - sound familiar)
