I'm on day 2 of rest from exercise. Well, I took a leisurely 90 minute walk this morning, then will do a Yoga class tonight. Tomorrow I'm back on my rigid 6 day/week training schedule!
Something more challenging...I'm so with you on that, little changes make big differences in workouts, and they sure make it more interesting. I try to do something better every workout, but that "better" can vary. It might be going faster, or something like that. But it might also include increased consumption of beverages at the Tram Bar. More fun with friends. Things like that. Getting bored and burned out is a danger all by itself.
Now, what's this about a Rigid 6 day schedule? Ouch. I'm on a flexible, 2+ days per week schedule. I getting a little faster (though you would need an atomic clock to measure the improvement!) and going a little farther (except when I get carried away exploring shortcuts or get sucked in by the Siren song of Ellen!), so I chalk it up to my body needing extra recovery time at my advanced age!
In any case, as long as you're having fun out there, great job on your accomplishment! I'm sure I'll see you again out there soon!
