Well we made our first trip, and I would like to thank all who gave us the good advice and tips, the weather was great for a first time trip and we enjoyed it. Special thanks to Tina and crew that picked us up when we were walking back to the musemun from the tram (not our best idea)

Well done Devon and Melissa. Today Cactus to clouds would be technically correct since I imagine the clouds would have been down to the tram.
I owe Tina a couple of hugs :)

Hey! So you made it! Great job! I wonder if we met...I got a late start, didn't hit the trail til right at 7:00. I found ss and Tina at the top when I got there, say about 10:45 or so...did we meet somewhere in that time frame? (I had on a black tank top and blue shorts - although for most of the trail it was hot and I took off the tank top and outer shorts (keeping triathlon shorts on for modesty, of course) - did you see some fool go by that matched that description? Normally I would have stayed around for a while afterwards, spending a little time at the Tram bar with other hikin' fools, but I had to get home today, so if we didn't meet on the trail, then we probably didn't meet.

In any case, I hope you two had fun. How about a brief TR? What did your wifey think of the trail?

Yah we did, you went by us in the uper third, I thought "that guy's not right in the head!" Can't believe you go up that hard with no water!! Well at least it looked like you didn't have room for much water to me. My wife was the one that said "your fast!" as you went by. We did not have any trecking poles. She was wearing a greenish tank top. She said it was hard but she was glad she went. Tina went by us earlier, and as I said she and some others picked us up as we were walking down the hill from the tram. We still had about 4 miles to go to get back to our hotel so we were real happy they stopped. I want to come back and do the whole thing, not sure when would be the next time I can. There were some really great views and I can see why people can get addicted to this trail. We saw alot of sheep tracks, how often do you see the sheep up there? We got to the top around 11:10 or so. Thanks again to everyone for sharing the info

I wish I would have known that was you, I'd have stopped and talked a bit. I was trying to get a fast time for my first time up of the year, so I hope that explains (although it doesn't excuse!) my lack of manners. You've probably seen postings about autumn being a great time for C2C - nice weather and no snow. If you're out in the fall, be sure and post. Again, great job to the two of you!

Glad you made it Devon and Melisa, it was nice meeting you. Thanks to Johnny B for the ride back to the museum, that walk isn't fun at all.

Nice meeting you too, Thanks to Johny B! We had a good time and are planning our soon return to do the whole thing, if the weather will cooperate! Hope to see more of the people from this forum and maybe this time we will meet up at the tram station for some relaxation after the hike!
