Hiking this weekend

Going up Taquitz Friday morning. We'll be spending the night in and around Saddle and Laws Junctions. If anyones been through there lately I'd love to hear what to expect. Weather looks to be warming a bit by the weekend, we'll have to wait and see.

I'll post about the conditions I find when I get back.

We went through on the PCT from the south to Saddle Junction on Sunday. ( May 23 ) There was new snow falling on top of old snow. Likely 2-4 feet almost everywhere and the old stuff was pretty solid ice so I think it will last another week.

I was thankful for an ice ax and crampons.
