Talking of search and rescue, I read on the comments of this trip report that there have been no less than 169 rescues in the park since the beginning of the year to the beginning of April :shock:

One of the park rangers said they've been called out on a lot of rescues this year, so you don't get a true picture of the number of incidents on the mountain by looking at the RMRU site. I guess RMRU is only involved with a few of the incidents.

If SPR's and park aids are the ones doing the rescues and they need to be given the atta boys. Beer or gear! Who has the Long Valley station phone # ?
