With all the recent snow dumping, anybody know what altitude the snow starts at? Thinking about some lower elevation snow camping (for practice).
Thx.

In some areas it's as low as 3000 but in others it looks closer to 4500 or 5000. It talked to someone who drove in from Vegas and there was snow in Banning. Banning is at 2400 feet.

Deer Springs trail is the one I'm considering...got snow the whole way? Can't find any working webcams of Idyllwild.
