Just a quick follow up. I just talked to Larry from the Coachella Valley Hiking Club, and he said he's keeping an eye on the weather for the scheduled Skyline hike for Sept. 30. He'll probably cancel it if the high is forecast to be over 90, and right now it's forecast to be 95. But he said to check back with him on Tuesday just to verify.

He did say they are planning to do Skyline on Saturday, October 31st, though, when the temps should be much better.

Robert - I am also keeping an eye on the weather. The morning temperatures are also very important. Tuesday and Wednesday are "supposed" to be a lot cooler.
Pavan - The Sierra Club group are planning on leaving at first light which I think is too late. The link supplies an e mail address and phone number. They have another group leaving at midnight on Saturday November 28. There will be a lot of people going on November 7th
