Hello everyone! I will be in Palm Springs from July 21st to the 26th. I am from the Ventura area and come to the desert a few times a year. I try to get up the trail when I am in town. Is anyone up for a midnight run up Skyline durning this time. Let me know.

In July? Better to wait and do it in October when temperatures drop below the melting point of lead. July could get ugly...unless you wear a red suit with a pointy tail and carry a pitchfork on a regular basis. Say, is that sulphur I smell?

That smells not sulphur; it's the Salton Sea.

Seriously though, most folks do Skyline in April/May or October/November. It's really hot and exposed and very difficult to keep one's core temperature down when one is exerting oneself to the degree required by Skyline. Just something to think about.
