It was awesome! Minimal snow, perfect weather, beautiful scenery, met a friendly volunteer ranger - more to come tomorrow when I'm not exhausted anymore!
O.K. So we started of from Humber park at 9:45 am. A little later than we had planned, but hey, things happen. It was around 60 degrees when we left, and the great weather lasted the entire day. The scenery was beautiful. I was worried that there might be too much snow on the trail, but it wasn't a problem at all. We had to tromp through a little bit, but it was fun. We even made a little snowman. May he R.I.P.

We also came upon a huge boulder being supported by a tree stump, which looked way cool. It took us about 6 hours to get to the peak. We met a friendly volunteer ranger about 2 miles from the top during one of our rest stops. Some of the hiking was more difficult than I thought it would be - I'm an out of shape soccer player. Its motivated me to get back in shape though. The peak was very cool. I loved the view. We had a late lunch up there and then headed back down. Going back down was much faster. There were more switchbacks than I thought there would be. I think someone on the trail told us there were something like 47. The views as the sun was going down were great. Unfortunately, I hadn't broken in my boots well enough, so the return trip was a little painful due to some blisters. We finished the hike around 7:45 pm. It was a great trail and I definitely recommend it. Take plenty of water though if you do this trail! I drank a ton and it wasn't that hot. I'd imagine that I would have needed a lot more if it had been warmer.
I'll have a link to some pictures once I upload them.
